Even before accepting the call, I knew, thanks to the app, that somebody is calling me with an offer to check up on insurance contracts. So I declined the incoming call without worries and saved myself a lot of nerves. Big thank you to the developers.

Call Insider app user reviews
The best app to find out who is calling you. Taking off one star for not being able to block calls, but overall a great app.
Samsung S21
I got a call regarding an ad on an auction server and the app helped me find out that it was a scam aimed at getting money from you through a fake website. To be honest, if it weren’t for the reviews in the app, I don’t know if I would have been able to tell.
Motorola Moto G32
It does what it’s supposed to. I say it’s great and thanks.
Samsung Galaxy A33 5G
Great app! It has a huge database with information on phone numbers. I have absolutely no idea where they get the information and why it is free! I hope it stays free in the future too.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 11S
Absolutely great – if only I had got the app earlier. 😟

Newest phone number ratings
Didn’t find the answer to your question?

- Why do I have to grant the app access to my contacts?
- It will sound counter-intuitive, but it is to protect your privacy. The app only needs access to your contacts so that it doesn’t send out to the server the phone numbers you have saved in your phone and so they are not unknown to you. Your contacts therefore stay safely in your phone. We will provide information on phone number ratings only for the phone numbers you don’t know, that is those for which it makes sense.
- The app can be used as default or supporting. What is the difference?
- If you use the app as your default, a special purple screen with integrated phone number rating will be used for making phone calls (call screen of the Call Insider app). If you use the app as a supporting one, you will keep the call screen you are used to and phone number ratings will be displayed optionally as a pop-up window.
- Can the app access my phone number?
- It can’t. The Android system doesn’t even allow automatic retrieval of the phone number from an inserted SIM card. That’s why various apps verify your phone number via an SMS or call-back, and you must provide it first.
- What is the option to name a phone number (suggest a name) for?
- When you name a phone number in the Call Insider app, next time you will immediately know who’s calling you without saving the number in your contacts. The suggested name is sent out to the server and if we accept it, all Call Insider app users will see the name displayed for the number. If we don’t accept it, only you will see it.
- Which data does the app send out to the server and why?
- When the app is in active use, you are sending out the numbers you want to get rating information for at that moment. You are sending us only the phone number itself, 100% anonymized, no other data attached. You never send any names, statistics, times, call history or phone numbers saved in your contacts. Your phone number doesn’t get sent anywhere; the app doesn’t know it and can’t access it. It is the emphasis on privacy and minimal data sharing that makes the Call Insider app unique.
